Quite a beauty in the sunny woodland or shrub border, but it is also happy in large containers or as a street tree.

Interesting Notes about Chinese Redbud:
Chinese Redbud is perfect for the naturalized setting and prefers full sun, but will take some shade especially when summers are extremely hot. Once tree is established it is difficult to transplant due to a long tap root. There are stands of this native tree that are as tall as 50', but it is rare because it is either a naturally short-lived tree or it is because of its sensitivity to the extremes of high or low temperatures.
