This is an outstanding ornamental tree that creates visual interest and beauty in the landscape and is easy to grow.

Interesting Notes about Japanese Maple:

Japanese Maples are popular for the color and shape of the leaves.  They are perfect as accents to neighboring green-leaved plants and make great focal points in areas close to the living space.  This is a tough tree that is not fussy about soil types, but it should be planted in protected areas to reduce dieback of limbs.  The tree does produce fruit which are referred to as samaras (or helicopters) that mature in fall.
