Interesting Notes about Trident Maple:

This tree is native in Asian and is growing in popularity here in the U.S. for its ornamental value in the landscape and for bonsai. The dense, rounded form of this tree and the fact that it is not excessively large allows for its use as a shade tree in smaller landscapes. It tolerates some drought. The tree does produce fruit which are referred to as samaras (or helicopters) that mature in fall.
