Interesting Notes about Persimmon:

These trees produce attractive, small bell-shaped flowers and persimmon fruit that can be messy.  Plants usually have separate male and female trees, but some produce perfect flowers where both are present.  Male flowers appear in clusters and produce the pollen.  The female flowers appear solitary and are followed by fruit.  Attractive bark resembles blocky alligator skin.  Deer are highly attracted to the fruit produced.
