A large tree that is both ornamental and useful for shade featuring attractive leaves that turn shades of yellow, copper, orange, red and purple in the fall. When the tree is more mature the peeling bark will display patches of orange which extends the interest into winter. Tree must be planted in an area where soil is well-drained and though it does tolerate drought, prefers moist soils.
