Interesting Notes about Mexican Redbud:

This attractive tree or shrub makes a great accent or understory plant in the landscape.  It produces flowers that are similar to the species, but maybe not as prolific.  The leaf is distinctly different than the species with its wavy margins and the leaves are prone to winter injury.
