Interesting Notes about Rugosa Rose:
Rugosa roses are known for their hardiness, sturdiness and natural beauty. Their foliage is distinctively textured and bright green with heavy veining. They are easy to grow, tolerate drought and poor soils plus they are extremely disease resistant, in fact, they fit very well in the organic garden. Rose hips (fruit) on the shrub roses are almost as beautiful as the flowers themselves and will vary in size and color. Although not a good choice for bouquets they are beautiful when in full flower.
