'Silver Queen' is an improved variety with a stronger, upright habit and is nearly seedless or completely seedless. Also the fall color is a better and brighter yellow.

Silver Maple is suited as a tree for growing in adverse soil and moisture conditions.  This tree tolerates both drought and wet soils conditions and adapts where other strong wooded trees cannot grow.  These same attributes do present issues with aggressive root system plus the wood is easily damaged in high winds that causes limb litter.
